Grief Tending 1:1

Leaning into grief work and exploring our own relationship with sorrow, sadness, anger, rage and all the pain grief brings is a journey that forms a part of life. This journey isn’t one of self pity but one of self discovery, finding wisdom in those tucked away, concealed or hurting parts of us.

To walk with grief is to walk in the vitality of life. To walk amongst the shadows and to celebrate all that we have hidden there is to transform that which is known as the darkness. There is such beauty in the darkness, such replenishment in the quiet shade of healing.

When we hold grief within, we can feel challenge, lostness or listlessness. Tending our grief is working from heart and spirit, weaving love, forgiveness, release, soothing, wildness.

Within our grief tending sessions we may bring in elements to help us move, stones , water, mud, clay. We might use shells or feathers or the weathered root or branch of elder and blackthorn.

We can also create a grief vessel to carry our grief so we don’t always have to, woven or sewn or gathered together with plant kin, tiny cherished objects, soil, prayer. Rose, yarrow, vervain and mugwort may be brought in to share their essences and energy.

These sessions are also created with the individual in mind and usually last 2.5 hours and can be extended to allow time for a marking of the threshold , they include:

  • Consultation to talk through your wellbeing

  • Grief ceremony with stone and water

  • Plant kin ceremony

  • Additionally there can be a medicine walk to mark the threshold of transitions within or without grief

Investment: 2.5 hour session £97, half day (4 hours) £177 with threshold work
